Monday to Friday; 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

**Salary Range**:
$30.00 to $35.00 depending on experience

**What Does a Journeyperson Machinist Do?**

A Journeyperson Machinist has completed a machinist apprenticeship. A Journeyperson Machinist sets up and operates precision metal cutting and grinding machines such as lathes, milling machines, drills, and grinders to make and repair products. Read and interpret drawings and engineering information to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to fabricate products. They are a motivated, detail-oriented individual who enjoys teamwork.
- Perform the machining of simple and complex parts on conventional (manual) and CNC equipment such as mills, lathes, and drill presses.
- Use precision measuring instruments.
- Keep an organized and clean working environment.
- Adhere to all safety directives/requirements within the area and facility.
- Other duties as directed by Supervisor, Trainer or Lead.
- Improve upon existing manufacturing processes to improve production.

**What Qualifications Do We Look For?**
- Interprovincial Red Seal in Machining.
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage multiple jobs simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving ability with strong attention to detail and precision.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly and interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure manufacturing accuracy and efficiency.
- Work in compliance with safety regulations.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming an asset.
- Experience with CAM software an asset.
