The Estimator will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely creation of purchase orders for construction starts, as well as maintaining and contributing to our estimation and construction management ERP Software. This position also involves preparing cost accounting, job-specific budgeting, ongoing management of master models, and conducting cost reporting.

**What **you’ll** work on**:
**Data Collection & Analysis**:

- Gather and analyze data to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Maintain high data integrity in our estimation systems.
- Evaluate project requirements, specifications, and blueprints to determine material and labor costs.

**Bid Preparation**:

- Prepare detailed bid proposals for residential construction projects.
- Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.

**Cost Management**:

- Maintain and update cost databases to ensure accurate future project estimates.
- Monitor project costs and identify areas for potential savings.

**Collaboration**:

- Work closely with site supervisors and project managers to ensure cost estimates align with project goals and timelines.
- Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to verify pricing and availability of materials.
- Develop and foster strong supplier relationships.

**Core Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and analyze budgets for model houses.
- Discuss with various trades at every scope to obtain pricing.
- Prepare take-offs for various scopes of work with respect to the building process.
- Review plans and issue purchase orders to various trades at each scope to ensure the site team has all purchase orders issued.
- Monitor and manage the purchasing ERP suite for model and item costs, as well as push all purchase orders to respective suppliers and scheduling software.
- Assist in managing the scheduling software suite from the office to ensure the field team has what is needed.
- Prepare and complete take-offs from residential blueprints.
- Conduct plan reviews of residential blueprints to ensure spec level is maintained.
- Implement software and processes to ensure efficiencies are maintained through the ERP software suites.
- Maintain awareness of building codes, municipality changes, and construction techniques.
- Support the construction team and trade/supplier partners through any construction issues or discrepancies.
