Starting rate $22.30
Accountability Objectives:
Under the direction of the Dining Services Manager or delegate, responsible for the cleaning and sanitizing of the dishes and cutlery., the cleanliness of the dietary areas and equipment in accordance with specific standards and regulations, and assigned duties related to food service.
Background/Qualifications:
The incumbent must be a High School Graduate who has had some formal training in or prior proven experience in working professionally with senior clientele. Ability to maintain effective oral and written communications in English and have a positive self-projection.
Knowledge of WHMIS, Food Sage required.
Previous experience in food service in a hospitality setting is preferred.
Ability to work independently as well as taking direction, a team player; flexible and versatile and ability to use initiative in problem solving.
A people-person with a positive self-projection, outgoing disposition and a heart for seniors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleans all dishes, pots and pans.
- Clears area around dishwasher-cleans and sanitizes dishwasher and filters.
- Clears tables in kitchen as required.
- Is familiar with Dining Room and Activity functions.
- Handles all matters in a confidential manner.
- Committed to excellence.
- Performs other duties as assigned in a timely and friendly manner.
