JOB SUMMARY
Work closely with Job captains and team members in developing and preparing shop drawings and design sketches to high standards, delivering on project timescales.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
Management/Supervision/Leadership
- None

Health and Safety
- Work in compliance with the Health & Safety Act and regulations including using any equipment, protective devices or clothing required.
- Promptly report any known workplace hazards or violations of the Act to management

Technical/Function
- Develop and prepare window wall shop drawings from architectural, structural, precast, electrical, mechanical, safety anchor system for window cleaning and maintenance drawings, specifications, and engineering data.
- Operate computer assisted design (CAD / REVIT) software, in order to design, prepare and produce detailed drawings per contract documents and specifications.
- Partner with Job Captains and Senior Technicians for ensuring that the proper inputs are attained to create the shop drawings.
- Check and verify shop drawings to confirm specifications and design data.
- Participate in the drafting meetings for reviewing the project assigned in regards the timeline and drafting issues with the generation of shop drawings.
- Develop and prepare design sketches for proposals, request for instructions and revisions in progress as required.
- Complete documentation packages and produce shop drawings sets.
- Other duties as assigned.

Internal/External Customer Service
- Carry-on communication with Toro internal stake holders in regards the window wall scope of work for the project assigned as per manager or job captains’ instruction.

Administration
- Organize and maintain the CAD digital files for the projects in the respective folders.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
- College Diploma or degree in Architectural, civil, building envelop, or relevant programs.

EXPERIENCE
- 1+ years of shop drawing working experience in glazing industry, Window-wall experience is a strong asset

SKILLS
- Experience of working with AutoCAD
- Experience of working with Revit
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and written with team members in and out of the Toro Group.
- Possess exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills with task priorities, timeline, and time management.

- Able to perform in a teamwork environment.
