The Billing Analyst will work with individual billing departments in order to maintain accuracy and efficiency for receivables. This individual will monitor billable items to confirm we are operating at a benchmark profit and ensure proper procedures are being followed when it comes to customer setup.

Key Responsibilities:

- Create invoices, transmit file to print vendors and post billing transactions
- Compile, validate and maintain generated revenue reports
- Process customer refund request
- Researche, resolve and manage customer credit balance reports
- Revenue reporting and month-end system close processing
- Maintain and review bill cycles
- Monitor company billing system for proper account set-up and activity flow
- Monitor customer accounts for irregularities
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies and provide backups to customers
- Monitor and support billing adjustment Requirements:

- Respond to customer questions and requests
- Assist finance with revenue reporting queries
- Perform account reconciliations
- Ensure coordination with other departments, clarify roles and responsibilities for resolving service issues
- Work with routing specialists to optimize routes
- Effectively deal with large commercial contracts/clients
- Photocopy and collate documents for distribution, mailing and filing
- Prepare documentation to assist Accounts Receivable/Payable (Invoices, Purchase Orders) etc
- Evaluate current operating procedures and provide recommendations to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Implement new standard procedures companywide for the organization

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

- 3-5 years’ experience in accounting and or relevant financial management experience, billing experience is preferred
- 1-2 years in a transportation, dispatch or customer service role
- High school diploma or GED required
- Strong understanding of end-to-end financial processes including and a numerical aptitude
- Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Proven organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Confidence and adaptability to work in a highly technical and dynamic work environment
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with and maintain strong working relationships, with all levels of management, non-management personnel and customers
- Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently
- Possess strong logic, and ability to take initiative
- Experience working in TRUX is a plus
