Vancouver Island University (VIU) offers three programs in Fisheries and Aquaculture: a two-year technical diploma, a Bachelor of Science degree, and a one-year post-degree diploma. Following graduation, students are prepared for work in fisheries stock assessment and resource management, environmental monitoring, fisheries or aquaculture research and technical support, as well as commercial aquaculture and stock enhancement or post-graduate studies.

**Duties**:
To teach a selection of FISH and AQUA courses. Applicants will be considered based on their expertise which courses they are eligible for. Available courses include:

- FISH 123 (Concepts of Biology, with lab),
- FISH 127 (Introduction to Salmonid Husbandry),
- FISH 231 (Non-Salmonid Culture),
- FISH 281 (lab),
- FISH X91 (Applied Techniques in Aquatic Systems and Fisheries I, II, III, IV),
- AQUA 101 (Introduction to Aquaculture), and
- AQUA 328 (Methods and Techniques of finfish culture) in the fall semester.
