Trail, Canada KC Recycling Full time

General Labourer
General labourers will work as functional members of the Operations and Business Development teams here at KC Recycling. Role requires someone whom is highly motivated and keen to turn their hands to a variety of different tasks. Day to day activities will include Forklift operating, pressure washing use of small tools and other labour based tasks assigned by supervisors or managers. On the job training will be provided to workers.

**Responsibilities**
- Work within the safety and health requirements of the job, such as following established rules and wearing P.P.E.
- Manually coordinated
- Report unsafe conditions and practices to their supervisor, as well as make recommendations for corrective actions.
- Identify, prevent, and correct imminent hazard to fellow co-workers and the work environment, and report to their supervisor.
- Report work related problems/injuries to their supervisor.
- Provide data, as required, during the annual health and safety program review.

**Requirements**:

- Physically and mentally able to stand for extended periods (12 hour shifts) to perform assigned duties, prior to the assumption of such duties.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
- Ability to perform light mechanical duties - i.e. able to identify and use common tools.
- Ability to meet the company’s safety standards by completing the required courses - First Aid, WHMIS, confined space, spill response, fire safety, fall protection safety, forklift training and scissor lift training as necessary.
- Participate in Blood Lead Level Management program.
- Ability to perform tasks while simultaneously being aware of the surroundings as there are many moving parts in the operation, including forklift traffic.
- Ability to take direction from their supervisor.
- To be able to work in a Team environment but also able to carry out duties on their own with mínimal supervision.
- Ability to maintain good housekeeping practices, to be carried out to prevent the development of hazards.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
