Communications and Community Engagement Support

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as a Communications and Community Engagement Support. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with various communication and community engagement initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our organization while making a positive impact in the community.
**Duties**:
- Assist in developing and implementing communication strategies to effectively engage with the community
- Conduct research on relevant topics, trends, and best practices to support communication efforts
- Write and edit content for various communication channels, including newsletters, social media posts, press releases, and website updates
- Proofread materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines
- Coordinate and support community events, including logistics, promotion, and participant engagement
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather information and develop compelling stories for external communication
- Assist in managing social media accounts and monitoring online conversations
- Support public speaking engagements by preparing presentation materials and providing logístical support
**Requirements**:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong research skills with the ability to gather information from various sources
- Attention to detail and strong proofreading abilities
- Knowledgeable about social media platforms and best practice
- Applies strong knowledge of databases (knowledge of Kintone is a considerable asset)
- Navigates web-based systems quickly (i.e. analytical tools such as Google Analytics, social media analytics, etc)
- Understanding of gender-based analysis and violence against women
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sharepoint)
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field preferred; a combination of experience and education will be considered.

**Salary**: $35,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
