Shingler/labourer

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Shingler to join our team. As a Shingler, you will be responsible for installing and repairing roofs using various materials. This is a physically demanding role that requires heavy lifting and working with hand tools. If you have experience in carpentry, blueprint reading, and possess excellent attention to detail, we encourage you to apply.

**Duties**:

- Install and repair roofs using various materials such as shingles or metal
- Measure and cut roofing materials to fit specific dimensions
- Remove old roofing materials and prepare the roof for installation
- Ensure proper alignment and placement of roofing materials
- Use hand tools to secure roofing materials in place
- Inspect roofs for damage or leaks and perform necessary repairs
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work area

Qualifications:

- Previous experience as a Shingler or in a similar role preferred
- Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting construction plans
- Strong knowledge of roofing materials, techniques, and safety procedures
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for working with hand tools
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Valid driver's license preferred

Contract length: 8 months

Pay: $16.81-$32.92 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 50 per week
