Metal Roofing

**Experienced Sheet Metal Installers Required**

We are looking for experienced metal roofing installers. MUST have cladding experience. Structural steel experience an asset.

Duties to include, but not limited to:

- Interpret specifications, blueprints and job orders as need for area.
- Install and assist directing of installation for assemblies in building or work-site.
- Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
- Establishes and adjusts work sequences to meet construction schedules using knowledge of capacities of equipment and assigned personnel.
- Analyze and resolves work problems.

**Requirements**:

- Work within precise limits and standards of accuracy, perform a variety of duties which may change often... and rate information using measurable standards... plan, lay-out, fabricate, assemble, install and repair sheet metal parts, products and equipment, utilizing knowledge of working characteristics of metallic and non-metallic materials, machining and lay-out techniques, using hand-tools, power tools, machines, and equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or products specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabrication, assembling, and installing sheet metal products.
- Sets up and operates fabricating machines such as shears, brakes, welds, solders, bolts, rivets, screws, clips, caulks, and bonds component parts to assemble products, using hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
- Installs assemblies in supportive framework according to blueprints, using hand tools, power tools, and lifting and handling devices. Inspects assemblies and installation for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments required.
- Repair and maintain sheet metal products.
- Knowledge of OHS work-site safety required.
- Must be very organized, detail oriented, motivated, reliable, responsible, and have a great attitude.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and excellent customer service.

Physical Demands:

- Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time during a regular work day; use arms and hands to reach for, handle and manipulate objects; lift and carry materials weighing 50 to 100 pounds; climb up and down ladders, scaffolds and other climbing devices; carry tools and equipment; work while in stooped, kneeling, crouched, and crawling positions; be able to see naturally or with correction, to safely perform designated tasks.
- Must be able to perform assigned tasks under all types of environmental and weather conditions including severe cold, extreme heat, wet or dry weather and high winds.
- Close proximity to moving mechanical parts; Working in high, exposed levels as well as in close, cramped quarters from time-to-time.
- May be required to operate or work around powder-actuated hand tools such as ram-sets, Hilti-guns, etc.

Must have a valid Class 5 drivers licence and reliable transportation. Valid fall protection, aerial lift, and zoom boom training certificates. Must be able to work out-of-town when required.
