Lube Tech

Waste Control Service (WCS) is a private, locally owned, and operated recycling and waste management company offering solutions for sustainable management of all things waste. We offer collection services and consultation for both residential communities as well as commercial, industrial, and institutional organizations exclusively in the Greater Vancouver region. We have a head office and shop in Coquitlam B.C. and two recycling yards in North Vancouver where we primary process some of the recycling we regularly collect from our customers, which also operates as a recycling and secure shredding facility open to the community.

**Who we are looking for**:
We are looking to hire a highly-skilled lube technician to maintain and service our fleet of vehicles. The lube technician’s responsibilities include preparing detailed vehicle service reports, replacing vehicle wiper blades and car batteries, and changing motor oil as well as transmission and brake fluid as needed. You should also be able to keep vehicle interiors clean while performing maintenance and servicing tasks.

**Responsibilities**:

- Working on heavy duty commercial vehicles.
- We are a fleet maintenance facility.
- Lubricating wheel bearings to prevent excessive tire wear.
- Performing engine cleanings to prevent rust formation.
- Replacing cabin, fuel, air, and oil filters as required.
- Performing tire rotations to ensure even tire wear.
- Testing tire pressure and adding air as needed.
- Thoroughly inspecting customers’ vehicles for oil leaks.
- Making recommendations for additional servicing based on initial vehicle inspections.
- Notifying the Shop Lead Hand when vehicle maintenance or servicing cannot be completed within scheduled timeframes.

**To be Successful**:

- High school diploma or GED.
- Completion of a postsecondary education lube technician program.
- Proven experience in automotive maintenance and repair.
- Valid driver's license.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Detail-oriented.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Exceptional customer service skill.
