**Skills & Abilities**

- ¨Attention to detail and accuracy
- ¨ Valid AZ driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
- **DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILLITIES**:

- Assist H&S/Driver Manager to meet short and long term departmental goals: development and execution of strategies impacting Fleet and Terminal operations; administering these strategies in such a way that optimum results are obtained.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of an effective, productive department through selection, development & standard review, compensation, training and motivation of personnel (this includes full time or part time Drivers and contract employees). Develop those talents necessary to achieve short and long term departmental goals by effectively directing, and training drivers at the Mississauga Terminal.
- Assist with the documentation, on-going implementation and regular updating/maintenance of standard Driver/Dock Training Safety Program.
- Investigate & document trailer damage (where, when and who) Track, report non-reported accidents and train if necessary
- Weekly evaluation and documentation of Company Drivers and Brokers
- Responsible to completion new JHSC business objectives.

**DRIVER RECRUITMENT RESPONSIBALITY**:

- Assist with the Driver Apprenticeship Program: recruitment of driver, schedule training, mentor drivers, complete apprenticeship documentation and monitor program.
- Agency Driver - place order; review paper work; book road test, perform road test; set-up training schedule with mentor driver.
- Company Driver - interview, reference check; road test, orientation, set up training schedule with mentor.

**OPERATIONS RESPONSIBALITY**:

- Responsible for inspection reports, and schedule for nightly repairs in the absence of Fleet Manager.
- Act as vacation relief for Fleet Manager - review inspection report, call mechanic for service calls and update afternoon out of service calls.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
