**Piano Instructor - Arcadia Academy of Music**

**Teaching Positions Available for**:

- Part-time
- Wednesdays (3 pm to 9 pm)
- Self employed
- Potential to fill schedule and teach every day. 3 pm to 9 pm.

Provide private instrumental, vocal and music training for children and adults of all ages. Some key responsibilities are:

- Planning individual lessons and overall schemes of work for pupils;
- Teaching individual lessons lasting from 30 minutes to an hour or longer, usually incorporating elements of general musicianship, such as ear training and theory, as well as instrumental technique and interpretation;
- Communicating with parents about their child’s lessons and progress;
- Preparing pupils for performances, examinations, auditions and festivals;
- Assessing pupils’ abilities, providing feedback and writing reports;
- Motivating pupils and encouraging progress;
- Liaising with academic staff and/or parents

**The minimum teaching requirements**:

- High Level RCM
- Priority given to individuals with extensive teaching experience and/or the ability to teach multiple instruments.
