Are you an organized person? Do you have an eye for details? Are you able to quickly shelve books and other materials? Idea Exchange is seeking **part-time Student Shelvers** beginning in September 2024. This may be your opportunity to shine

**What You’ll Do**

As a Student Shelver, you will shelve library materials, empty drop boxes, ensure that shelves and public areas are tidy, check that materials are in order, and assist library staff with other duties as required.

**What You’ll Need to Succeed**

To be qualified for this role, you should be a current full-time secondary school (high school) student or registered and enrolled in a current full-time GED program. You should have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, and be able to work efficiently and independently.

Most Student Shelver schedules include **1-2 weekday evening shifts each week and alternating weekends.**

These are part-time student contract positions until August 2025, paying the hourly student minimum wage. You will be required to be available to work evenings, weekends (including Sundays) and during the summer months.

This position is part of a Special Program designed in accordance with the requirement of the Ontario _Human Rights Code _to assist secondary students seeking to enter the workforce. Should you require further information regarding the Program, please contact Human Resources.
