Line Painter Technicians

**Responsibilities**:
- Duties associated with line painting and other road working activities
- Help clean and prepare work sites
- Load and unload materials or equipment into work vehicles
- Assist in the setup and take down traffic control as per Ontario Book 7, including the assistance with the placement, move and dismantling of road signs, traffic barrels or cones, and flagging operations
- Maintain and clean equipment, conducting routine maintenance or minor repairs as required
- Perform housekeeping duties within the shop and yard
- Work safely and conform to all health and safety policies
- Perform other duties as required and as assigned
**Requirements**:
- Mechanical inclination to understand, maintain, and perform minor repairs on equipment
- Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
- Willingness to work in all types of weather and temperatures
- Willingness to work assigned night or day shifts including some weekends, with the flexibility to work long shifts
- Be physically fit and able to lift up to 30 kg.
- Ability to communicate with supervisors, co-workers, contractors, and the general public in a courteous, professional manner at all times.
- Must be able to work well in a team environment, have a strong work ethic and a “can-do” attitude
Previous experience in road work, construction and pavement marking is preferred, but not essential.

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week
