**MAIN** **TENANCE ASSISTANT
**(part-time)
T he City of Port Alberni is currently seeking a part-time Zamboni Operator / Maintenance
Assistant to join the Parks, Recreation and Heritage team working at our Multiplex ice facility.

well as performing a variety of ice maintenance, janitorial and minor building maintenance
activities.

Required qualifications for this position include:

- Current Ice Facility Operator or Refrigeration Operator (RO) certificate
- Valid BC Class 5 driver’s license
- Previous experience in janitorial and building maintenance work

who have successfully completed a Building Service Worker program.

Shortlisted applicants will be required to successfully complete a pre-employment fitness test
and a police information check. The current rate of pay for this position is $27.20 per hour
($33.41 per hour when operating the Zamboni) plus 15% in-lieu of benefits.
