**Description**
- Compliance Responsibilities:_
- Act as a bridge between the IT and Cybersecurity departments to ensure seamless collaboration.
- Support all audits involving cyber security as required.
- Regularly review and audit IT implementations for compliance with all standards.
- Support compliance activities including all GDLS requirements including NIST, CMMC,
- Assist in the development and implementation of IT and cybersecurity policies and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Maintain Risk Register and support cyber risk management program
- Security Operations Responsibilities:_
- Monitor security alerts and incidents in real-time within the Security Operations Center (SOC).
- Respond to and analyze security incidents and determine their impact on the business.
- Work with security technologies to detect and prioritize threats.
- Assist in the development and fine-tuning of SOC processes and procedures.
- Collaborate with the Incident Response team in handling and resolving breaches.
- Provide recommendations for improving detection and mitigation strategies.
- Document incidents and generate reports for executive management.
- Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and vulnerabilities.
- Requirements:_
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
- Relevant certifications in IT and/or cybersecurity.
- Proven experience in either an IT or cybersecurity role, with a strong understanding of the other.
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with various security technologies and systems
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work with various stakeholders and teams.
- Ability to travel (10% Cdn, 10% US/Int’l) and possess/ be able to acquire and maintain a valid passport.
