**Job Title**: Contract Manager

**Location**: [Varennes, Quebec, Canada] (Hybrid with occasional travel to the US)

**Duration**: 6-Month Contract (Potential for Permanent Position)

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Contract Management**:

- Manage all aspects of the contract lifecycle, from initiation to closure.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and proposals with a focus on R&D and manufacturing.

**R&D Collaboration**:

- Collaborate with the R&D team to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Ensure that contracts align with the strategic goals of the R&D department.

**Manufacturing Expertise**:

- Support the supply chain with identification of mandatory and recommended prime contract flow-down clauses for incorporation into vendor contract templates, and work with Supply Chain Managers to develop/review project-specific templates.
- Leverage vendors/subcontractors across multiple procurements to create cost savings to projects.
- Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities and the supplier’s reputation and history.
- Monitor shipments to ensure goods come in on time and resolve problems related to undelivered goods.
- Lead in negotiating high-risk contracts for various projects.
- Work to resolve escalated, complex, or disputed contract issues.
- Develop and maintain vendor relationships and manage supplier-specific vendor template negotiations.

**On-Site Presence**:

- Work on-site 1-2 days per week to facilitate close collaboration with the team.

**Contract Compliance**:

- Ensure that all contracts adhere to legal requirements and company policies.
- Monitor and report on contract performance.

**Negotiation and Communication**:

- Engage in negotiations with suppliers, vendors, and partners to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with all stakeholders.

**Documentation and Record-Keeping**:

- Maintain accurate records of all contracts, correspondence, and related documents.
- Establish a robust documentation system for future reference.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, or a related field.
- Proven experience in contract management, particularly in R&D and manufacturing.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to contracts.
- Willingness to travel to the US as required (1-2 days per month).
- Valid passport for international travel.

**Principales responsabilités**:
1. Gestion des contrats:

- Gérer tous les aspects du cycle de vie du contrat, de l'initiation à la clôture.

2. Collaboration en matière de R&D:

- Veiller à ce que les contrats soient conformes aux objectifs stratégiques du département R&D.

3. Expertise en matière de fabrication:

- Soutenir la chaîne d'approvisionnement en identifiant les clauses obligatoires et recommandées du contrat principal à incorporer dans les modèles de contrat des fournisseurs, et travailler avec les gestionnaires de la chaîne d'approvisionnement pour développer/examiner les modèles spécifiques aux projets.
- Tirer parti des fournisseurs/sous-traitants dans le cadre d'achats multiples afin de réaliser des économies dans le cadre des projets.
- Rechercher et évaluer les fournisseurs sur la base du prix, de la qualité, de la sélection, du service, de l'assistance, de la disponibilité, de la fiabilité, des capacités de production et de distribution, ainsi que de la réputation et de l'historique du fournisseur.
- Contrôler les expéditions pour s'assurer que les marchandises arrivent à temps et résoudre les problèmes liés aux marchandises non livrées.
- Diriger la négociation de contrats à haut risque pour divers projets.
- Travailler à la résolution des questions contractuelles complexes ou litigieuses.
- Développer et entretenir les relations avec les fournisseurs
