**Role**:
We have an exciting new opportunity here in the Edmonton Region as a Manager-Child Intervention

Reporting to the Associate Director, this position is accountable for:

- Assisting/working closely with the Regional Leadership Team to manager the day-to-day operations of one or more offices and/or a regional program portfolio in Specialized Services (e.g., Child Intervention, Foster Care, Kinship Care, Child Care, PESECA, Prevention of family violence, etc.)
- Working closely with the Director and Senior Management to implement the GOA and the Children and Family Services Business Plan
- Providing leadership to staff in worksites and more than 80 contracted agencies to fulfill the mandate of the region in conjunction with the Regional Leadership Team
- Ensuring that services are delivered to at risk children and families according to acts and policies Actively lead, participate in, enact, and support assigned lead roles and functionsWithin an established scope of responsibility, success in this position is measured through achievement of organizational and business objectives in the core areas of Human Regions, Finance, Service Outcomes, Program and Quality Assurance, Continuous Improvement and the regional outcomes.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**:
A University Degree in Social Work or a related field.**Experience**:

- Minimum three years of related experience.
- Previous leadership and/or supervisory experience.
- Knowledge and experience working with Indigenous children, youth, families and communities is required.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong critical thinking skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Child Intervention legislation, regulations and policy.
- Working knowledge of Signs of Safety and the Child Intervention Practice Framework principles.
- Ability to work independently and exercise considerable professional judgment in providing services.
- Relationship building, decision-making, conflict management, strong time management and organization skills are essential assets to be successful in this role. Functional use of Microsoft Office and Windows computer software is required.Related experience or education may be considered as an equivalency on a one for one basis.
