Analytical Chemist

The Analytical Chemist position is part-time role that will become full-time when we start operating. Initially, you will be focused on helping to ensure the lab space and equipment are in an appropriate state to start operations. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Validating existing GC/FID and HPLC methods
- Creating methods for HS-GC/FID and ICP-MS
- Ensuring SOP's are accurate and updated if needed
- Liaise with lab equipment vendor
- Assist with workflow design and lab layout

Required Experience and Skills:

- Practical experience using GC/FID, HPLC, ICP-MS or HS-GC/FID.
- Method Development and Validation
- Ability to work independently
- Post-Secondary Degree in a related field
- Comfortable handling small amounts of cannabis
- Strong communication skills

Other Assets:

- Previous Health Canada approval as Head of, or Alternate Head of Laboratory ($3,000 Signing Bonus if previously approved by Health Canada)
- Knowledge of Health Canada rules and regulations in regards to cannabis
- Coaching and training
- Preparing SOPs
- IQ/OQ/PQ Protocols
- Knowledge of GLP, GPP and GMP regulations

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $35.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
