Locksmith Apprentice

Price's Lock & Safe has been Proudly Providing courteous, Professional service and quality products throughout Vancouver Island since 1895. We are Western Canada oldest Locksmith shop and now have six locations.

We are hiring apprentice or qualified locksmith/ Service Technicians. We are looking for someone who is a team player to join our team to lift 50 pounds, have good dexterity, good written and reading skills, pass security clearance and have a valid driver license.

Skill Set ability to install:

- Fresh Deadbolts.
- Electric Strikes.

*Mortise Cassette Locks.
- Door Closer.
- Exit Devices.
- Rekey Locks and cylinders of all common manufactures.

Requires knowledge of:

- Keying and master key systems.

*Residential & High Security systems.
- Low Voltage AC/DC.
- Maintaining Customer/ Clients relations.
- Repair and maintain of safes, Bolt works, Combination locks.
- Working knowledge of locks and manipulation and drilling.

Must be able to rotate 1 week of overtime. Position offers a company medial plan and company bonuses.

Job Overview:

- Full -time Weekday, daytime work.

*Occasional after-hours emergency service calls on Rotating Schedule.

Compensation:
**Responsibilities**:

- Maintaining Price's Lock & safe professional image as a knowledge, respectful and helpful front-line employee.
- Performing various locksmithing duties including, but not limited to opening locked doors, re-keying locks, key cutting, servicing & adjusting locks and other product for repair or replacement.
- Attending service call for jobs involving door closer, Eletric release mechanisms, panic bars, astragals plates, locks, safes and various other types of hardware.
- Installation of deadbolts, door locks, and key control systems

Experience & Qualifications:

- Be able to work independently or collaboratively as part of the team.
- Own and be comfortable using various hand tools and perform Maintenace and repairs
- Have a strong Problem-solving aptitude is an asset
- Exhibit excellent customer service skills
- Must be Bondable and have a clean criminal record.

*Must be able to obtain a Security workers License (we do the provide all the info)

Pay: $23.00-$35.00 per hour
