**Job summary**

Under the supervision of the head of the department, the clerk must be able to inform and advise customers on the various door and window products, their characteristics, and their installation methods. They will also have to ensure their products’ availability by marketing, filling, and maintaining the department.

**Main Responsibilities**

Respond effectively to customer needs.
- Provide personalized customer service from welcoming customers through to the final sale by listening, evaluating, and recommending products to customers that suit their needs.
- Be on the lookout for sales opportunities.
- Offer complementary products.
- Make special orders when a product is not in stock and follow up on customer complaints.
- Track customer orders and estimates with the system.
- Promote the PM card to all applicable transactions.

Carry out orders, follow-ups and material handling.
- Prepare a quote for the customer.
- Place orders and follow up on them.
- Handle the received products.
- Coordinate the delivery or pick-up of products and installation (if applicable).

Merchandizing.
- Showcase the merchandise by creating product montages in strategic locations.
- Carry out price changes according to PM procedures and displays of information and/or technical data sheets relating to the products.
- Carry out the correct placement of the products at least twice a day.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the workplaces.

**Required Skills and Qualifications Profile**

**Training/Experience/Certification**
- Have a high school diploma.
- Have 3 to 6 months of experience in retail (asset).

**Knowledge**
- Have a good command of the French language, both orally and written, English (asset).

Have the Skills to use a computer system.
- Have knowledge in the renovation field (asset).

**Required Skills and Aptitudes**
- Have a good physical capacity.
- Have a good ability to calculate exact measurements.
- Be professional and a good communicator.

Have good listening Skills, good interpersonal Skills, and a good team spirit.

**Working conditions**
