We are currently recruiting a Registered Early Childhood Educator to join our Team in Woodbridge at the following location: St. Padre Pio CES - Preschool Program.

**Starting Pay**:
**RECE**: $22.57 - $25.80/hour plus Wage Enhancement Grant ($2.00/hr), Split Shift Premium ($2.00/hr) & Canada Wide Early Learning & Child Care (up to $1.00/hr for RECEs)
**Position Types**: Full-time (40 hours/week).

Upper Canada Child Care has over 30 years of experience in child care and education. We are a non-profit, government-licensed organization operating centres in communities throughout Toronto, York Region, and Simcoe County. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education from a recognized college or university.
- A recent Police Vulnerable Sector Check
- Health assessment and up-to-date record of immunization as outlined by legislation.
- Up-to-date registration with the College of ECEs.
- Up-to-date certification in CPR-C and Standard First Aid (training provided upon selection if required).
- Experience with inquiry/play based program design and implementation, and with the use of pedagogical documentation.
- Uses initiative; applies sound reason in solving problems and resolves conflict in a calm, professional manner.
- Proven ability to communicate (written and verbal) effectively and establish appropriate relationships with families, coworkers and other professionals.
- Have the physical and emotional stamina to effectively supervise children in a variety of settings including outdoor public spaces.
- Ability to use computer systems and programs; including Dayforce, and Storypark.
- Engages with the children and provides a positive learning experience. Provides a range of care including assisting with meals/snacks, toileting, diapering, dressing, etc.
- Participates in professional development opportunities, staff meetings and training sessions as required.
- Completes program charts, daily logs, reports, and other administration tasks as required.
- Provides guidance to assistant teachers, students and volunteers as needed.
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT
- Minor exposure to disagreeable elements (within work environment such as dirt/dust, adverse weather conditions, noise, etc).
- Moderate level of physical effort is regularly required; including but not limited to kneeling, pushing, pulling, bending, and carrying.
- Occasional exposure to computer terminals.
