Who are we looking for as a Field Service Technician? Our Halifax branch is looking for a worker who's interested in the field of bio-medical (dental) device and equipment repair. The Service Technician will provide maintenance/repairs on a variety of dental equipment and products. The technician learns and follows manufacturer guidelines relative to the repair of devices.
**Major Duties**:
- Independently respond to customer calls assigned to him, determine the nature of the problem for a particular module or component.
- Determine the parts, supplies and tools needed to complete the service request.
- Ensure that the standard response time established with the service coordinator is respected.
- Load, deliver, install, configure and train customers on the basic use and maintenance of the equipment sold.
- Use, maintain and secure test equipment and tools used to adjust, calibrate and repair equipment.
- Complete all required documentation (time sheets, service orders, Radiation Protection Bureau forms, inventory and expense reports).
- Return defective modules or parts to head office and identify items.
- Maintain and stock the truck's parts inventory.
- Perform any other tasks assigned to him.
**Job qualifications**:
- Diploma in Electronics and/or Computer Science.
- Valid driver's license and driving record.
- Excellent organizational skills and good problem-solving skills.
- Motivated worker with great team spirit and manual skills.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in TCP/IP networking.
- 2 to 3 years of field repair work experience in the dental or medical environment.
- Experiences related to carpentry, electricity or electronics required.
- Strong customer service skills required.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English.
- Knowledge of SAP platform is an asset.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $30.00-$34.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
