Tax Analyst

**What You Will Do**
The Tax Analyst is responsible for assisting with the company’s tax compliance, tax planning, and accounting for corporate income taxes. You will actively participate in corporate income tax issues impacting our different businesses which will allow for the development of your tax, analytical, and communication skills.
- Accounting for income taxes, including the preparation of quarterly tax reconciliations and year-end tax provision
- Prepare non-resident withholding tax analysis and related information slips
- Prepare tax installment schedules
- Continuously seeking efficiencies to streamline tax compliance processes
- Prepare Canadian corporate tax returns and other tax filings on a timely basis
- Assist in federal and provincial income tax audits
- Prepare schedules to support various tax attributes
- Liaise with other business units and provide tax support as needed
**What you bring**
- University degree in Finance/Accounting or business related discipline
- CPA accounting designation or working towards completion
- 1-3 years of accounting experience
- Solid knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices
- Ability to review and analyze complex accounting entries
- Proven analytical, problem solving, and accounting skills
- Strong interpersonal & communications skills (verbal & written)
- Strong organizational skills and commitment to attention to detail
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Working knowledge of Peoplesoft is considered an asset
- Working knowledge of Taxprep and experience working with the Income Tax Act is an asset.
- Please note that having experience in tax is an asset, not a requirement for this position. We are looking for someone with an accounting background who is interested and eager to learn more about tax and gain exposure to this field. New graduate students are encouraged to apply.
