Imperial Dade Canada, leading national distributor, has a job open on Vancouver Island. The tractor trailer driver is responsible for delivering product to our customers in a safe and professional manner, on time and accurately.

**Responsibilities**:

- Picking up our Tractor Unit from its overnight parking in the Keats Road area of Sannich, the daily starting point, and proceeding to the Seaspan terminal to collect the loaded Imperial Dade Trailer.
- Making deliveries and where required picking up returns in and around the Greater Victoria Area.
- Returning the trailer to Seaspan and the Tractor unit to its overnight parking at the end of the day ensuring the Tractor Unit is left secure.
- Ensuring all regulatory processes are followed for Vehicle and Driver safety, Reporting to the Supervisory team any defects found during pre and post trip inspections.
- Loading and unloading stock in a secure manner for safe, damage-free transportation.
- Verifying all orders at time of delivery and delivering orders to meet customer specifications, this may include breaking down orders at specific customers’ location for their own internal departments.
- Responsible for ensuring the truck is always fueled and kept clean.
- Familiarity with the completion of delivery procedures and paperwork to ensure stock is accounted for on POD.
- Compliant use of Geotab and Track-POD.
- Ensuring equipment and truck are in good working condition through adherence to delivery maintenance procedures.
- Ensure that any customer delivery issues are immediately communicated to the right department depending on the situation, Shipping Office, Customer Experience, Supervisor.
- Very rare Saturday work in an emergency situation to support a customer need.
- Maintain and follow all Imperial Dade process and policies.

- Good decision-making skil1s and ability to work independently.
- Able to lift weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs.).
- Class 1 License is required for this position.
- Able to work extended hours, which may be required from time to time.
- Ability to use power loading equipment including manual and power pallet jacks.
- A dedicated focus on safety in all aspects of the role.
- Clean Drivers Abstract
- Preferred experience and knowledge of the road network and layout of the Greater Victoria area.
- Incumbent must live in the Greater Victoria Area

Working/Other Conditions:

- Working on-site in a dry climate-controlled warehouse and vehicle environment.
- Required to wear personal protective equipment - company supplied.
- Minimal to moderate exposure to hazardous conditions, noise, and vibrations conducive to a warehouse and vehicle environment.
- Ability to operate Stand-up Material Handling Equipment as required.
- Repetitive physical activities including but not limited to lifting, bending, pushing and pulling weights up to 23 kg (50lbs) for the duration of the shift.
- As an essential services provider you must be comfortable driving in all weather and road conditions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be flexible regarding work hours.
- Ability to work extended hours, which may be required from time to time.

Hourly Rate: $29.92
