The Editor in Chief who will work on different articles and write new articles. This role is perfect for someone who has a strong passion for writing. You’ll edit all articles that other authors have written and you’ll make all necessary changes.

**Duties**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an editor or in a similar role.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Proficiency in word software and Adobe Indesign.
- Knowledge of different writing styles, such as creative writing, technical writing, and proposal writing.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high editorial standards.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- 6+ years of editorial experience working in a high-volume, publishing, or news-oriented brand or organization
- Ideate and conceptualize content and Cover personalities that speaks to a diverse and highly engaged audience
- Execute editorial strategies to deliver content through all channels
- Write a minimum of 7 articles in each issue (6 issues /year, 160-186pages)
- Act as a representative for the publication of external events, advertisers, and business partners
- Oversee content production on all channels and platforms while maintaining the highest quality journalism
- Encourage collaboration and overcome creative challenges while simultaneously meeting business objectives
- Build audiences for the brand by partnering with teams to drive audience growth and engagement
- Expert in editorial process management and editorial workflows and tools
- Help in-house team with social content writing/editing
- Write press releases

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, or a related field
- Proven experience as an editor or in a similar role
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Proficiency in word processing software and Adobe Indesign
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

**Job Types**: Part-time, Freelance

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
