**Your Potential Employer - Tamarack Island Wilderness Lodge**

**Dock Hand (with basic carpentry skills)**
- **Duties Include**:_
- **General Maintenance**:_
- Basic framing and carpentry skills: ie. adding on to buildings, installing knotty pine, putting tin on roofs, dock repair, framing in windows and doors.
- Basic plumbing, repairing leaks, installing hot water tanks, changing filters, repairing sewer pipes, replacing sump pumps.
- Smaller repairs such as fixing screens, building screen doors, levelling cabins, basic roof repair etc.
- Oil changes in all types of engines.
- **Dock Duties**:_
- Pick up and drop off guests at the main dock via different boats.
- Provide gas and bait to customers while recording amounts provided of each.
- Unload and load luggage with use of gator and quad with trailer.
- Clean fish and fish house.
- Daily garbage and recycling runs
- General property maintenance (cutting grass, cutting, splitting, hauling and stacking firewood, garbage and recycling runs etc.)
- **Knowledge & Experience**:_
- Working knowledge of operating equipment (boats, ATV, chainsaw, weed trimmer, wood splitter, lawnmower, etc.)
- Good mechanical skills an asset
- Basic carpentry skills an asset
- Must be able to reach, kneel, bend and lift up to 70lbs.
- Ability to work in an isolated location for long stretches of time.
- Able to work 7 days per week to a maximum of 55 hours per week.
- Able to work in a remote wilderness area - 5-minute boat access site

**Salary**: $15.50-$17.00 per hour
