**Bookkeeper**

D&D Bookkeeping Inc. is currently searching for the right individual to join our bookkeeping team. We are looking for an experienced individual, offering full time hours and benefits.

**Bookkeeper Job Responsibilities**:

- Maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensure legal requirements compliance.
- Develops system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; defining/adhering to bookkeeping policies and procedures.
- Maintains subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
- Balances subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries.
- Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries.
- Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
- Maintains historical records by filing documents.
- Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
- Complies with federal, provincial, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

**Work Hours & Benefits**
- Position entails Monday-Friday schedule, 8:30AM-5PM
- Evenings & Weekend over time available at peek season
- RRSP benefits after 1 year employment
- Medical benefits after 3 months probation
- Five sick/personal days per year

**Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements**:

- High School graduate
- Diploma in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
- Previous bookkeeping experience preferred
- Experience in working with Sage 50 (Simply Accounting) & QuickBooks (Both desktop/online preferred)

**Salary**: $15.00-$20.00 per hour
