**Position: House Lead**

**Position Profile**: The Team Lead is a mentor to all new and existing shelter staff. He/She provides direction, instructions and guidance to Case Managers, Intervention Workers, and practicum students to ensure the shelter is operating efficiently. The Team Lead will know his/her team members strengths, weaknesses and motivations.

The Team Lead’s role is to train new employees, to plan and organize in house client programming, to ensure all employees are getting tasks done throughout the week, reporting client and staffing issues to the Director, completing weekly debriefing notes, as well as attending weekly client meetings with the Ministry of Social Services.

A Team Lead’s skills and previous experience is more important than qualifications as it shows he/she can handle the responsibility. _______________________________________

**Position Reporting**:This position reports to the Director of Supportive Living Homes

**Major Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Approval of community hours, respite and curfews, alongside the Ministry
- Ensures the completion of Weekly Debriefing notes and sent to the Ministry
- Responsible for weekly client file meetings, ensuring case plans are done, and reporting problem areas to the Director and/or Executive Director
- Update client contact information as necessary
- In charge of self-care-funds, transportation, etc.
- In charge of Elder programming-notifying the clients, making arrangements for pick-ups, snacks, etc.
- Assign duties to staff to be sure offices/closets are kept organized and clean
- Oversee that move in/outs are done accurately, and that all paperwork is given to Intervention worker
- Collecting rent/ take to housing department at head office
- Oversee the completion of move out forms and that they are done properly for the Ministry
- Be sure expired meds are assigned to staff to be disposed of at a pharmacy
- Monthly program reports completed and sent to the CEO
- Responsible for ordering office supplies at the end of every month
- Responsible for booking child care and transportation
- Ensures Students are meeting the expectations of their practicum placement and completing the required paperwork
- Other duties as assigned by the Director or CEO
