**Forbes Bros. Ltd. is seeking experienced Foremen in Civil Construction for both full-time and temporary positions. Join our expanding FB Bullet team based in Surrey, BC. Specializing in shallow utility construction in the Lower Mainland, the FB Bullet team has been experiencing significant growth in the region.**

The **Foreman - Civil Construction (full-time, permanent** will be responsible for providing supervision and overseeing a team and ensuring successful planning and completion of civil construction operations. The Foreman
- Civil Construction will also enforce company policies and practices during all operations by site crews while monitoring their work quality.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide supervision and planning in the successful completion of civil construction on projects
- Oversee the method of construction, manpower, equipment, and material needed and quality control
- Perform audits of construction operations to ensure work is being completed in compliance with project specifications and monitor safe work practices
- Proactively manage and review the project crews and ensure they are meeting the goals and requirements of the contract
- Efficiently control and monitor labor, materials, and equipment expenses
- Manage unit work or lumpsum work to ensure it is completed to client and bid specifications
- Plan, direct and participate, when applicable, in day-to-day work activities to ensure that established goals and objectives are met
- Report on problems and the solutions to Management
- Enforce and ensure compliance to Health & Safety and Work practices
- Enforce equipment maintenance schedule and advise when repairs are required
- Perform other tasks related to this function as assigned

**What We Are Looking For**:

- Minimum of three (3) years in the construction industry, with at least one (1) year in civil construction is required
- Prior experience as a Lead Hand or Supervisor leading and supervising multiple crews on project sites, is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of civil construction methods, schedule and plan reading
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, attention to detail, with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to lead a team of all different skill levels, lead teams by example, build consensus, actively listen, and engage crew members
- Able and willing to perform manual labor in varying weather conditions and environments, inclusive of heavy lifting
- Ability to work in field/site with travel and work hour flexibility to accommodate to remote/site work schedules
- Able and willing to present an acceptable five (5) year drivers abstract
