At Ortho On Yates, we specialize in comprehensive orthodontic treatment for both children and adults using traditional fixed appliances as well as clear aligners. Our office has been making Victorian’s smile for over 20 years and we want to continue to serve our community in a friendly, comfortable and welcoming setting that prioritizes patient care.

Certified Orthodontic Dental Assistants are dental health professionals that play an essential support role for both patients, their families and the practice with main tasks that can be described as follows:

- Review of treatment details and summarizing of treatment progress to patients, their families, your colleagues and the orthodontists
- Efficiently and competently facilitate orthodontic treatment and execute treatment mechanics as outlined and instructed by the treating orthodontist under both direct and indirect supervision
- Clear, concise communication in both written clinical notation and verbal reporting to colleagues
- Adjunctive clerical support and assistance for the main administrative team including queuing interoffice letters and providing patient hand-over at checkout to insure correct next visit booking all while maintaining HIPPA protocols and patient confidentiality
- Adhering to Occupational Safety and Health Administration guidelines and infection control operating procedures

**Requirements**:

- Active license to practice dental assisting in British Columbia
- Successful completion of CDA Orthodontic Module is preferred but is not necessary
- _We are interested in supporting ongoing training and education of our full time team members and would be prepared to reimburse you for your orthodontic training module following your probation period_
- Reliable transportation
