**Job Description - Financial Controller**

Job Status: Full time

**Position Summary**

With acquired business acumen and leadership experience to become a top function head, the Financial Controller is expected by this fast-growing organization to establish and maintain its overall accounting systems, procedures, and policies. Directs all analysis and reporting of financial information including budgets, planning, and required filings and reports. Leads and directs accounting functions, presents findings and recommendations to management. Establishes overall direction and strategic initiatives for the company’s current line of business and future growth.

**Responsibilities**
- Oversee financial reporting; lead and provide oversight for financial operations
- Prepare and present materials, reports, and analysis to various stakeholders
- Work closely with Accounting Manager to ensure quarterly reports are accurate and timely
- Support monthly forecast, annual budget and 3-year business planning processes
- Support implementation of all operation departments’ financial initiatives
- Monitor, review, and enforce internal controls to ensure ongoing compliance
- Serve as designated accounting leader for operation departments and primary contact for external auditors
- Support upcoming SAP Business One ERP system’s implementation, upgrades, improvement, transition, and integrations
- Recommend and lead efforts in optimizing working capital and other key performance indicators
- Manage cash flow forecasting and ensure cash is efficiently utilized across all business operations
- Manage relationships with financial service providers (e.g., banks, accountants, tax advisors)
- Manage, mentor, and train finance team members and provide performance evaluation

**Requirements**:

- CPA accounting designation and experience with complex financial spreadsheets.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- 10-15 years of working experience, ideally in a growing global supply chain company operating in multiple jurisdictions with multi-currencies.
- Strong analytical skills, excellent judgment and proven problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written communication and presentation skills, very comfortable in interacting with internal and external stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Ability to plan and manage a demanding work schedule to ensure quality of work and meet tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated, desire and ability to learn and take full ownership of projects.
- Can work well independently with limited supervision and in a team environment.
- Extensive knowledge of Canadian accounting legislation and guidelines.
- Knowledge of federal and provincial financial and taxation regulations.
- Bilingual - English and Mandarin

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $66,427.89-$111,450.45 per year
