**Supervisor, IT Services**

Team lead for Desktop and Systems Support Technician (DSST) and is responsible supervising and providing customer service at his/her facilities; this includes maximizing performance, security, and up-time of each desktop, server and network.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Provide leadership, guidance and training to a team of enterprise IT specialists across various disciplines including: Infrastructure & Networking, Information Security & Controls, Systems Administration, and Desktop Support.
- Supervise and administration of local phone system (including paging, voice mail, moves-adds-changes) at Salford facilities
- Supervise and work on projects from Salford and Corporate IT management following the documented IT project procedures
- Monitor assignments from the Service Now Requests and help where needed to meet timelines and SLA’s.
- Act as the “face of IT” at Salford facilities working alongside IT staff
- Inform Salford IT management of any issue that requires their involvement such as non-standards purchase, new enterprise\shop floor system requests and any requests to perform tasks outside of this job description
- Enforce Corporate and Salford IT standards, GOS IT Policy, and Procedures at his/her facilities.
- Coach and monitor staff these on these standards, policies and procedures.
- Purchase software and hardware for Salford facilities according to standards and IT purchasing procedures
- Coordinate with IT staff, Manager, Director, and accounting manager with yearly budget and monthly spend.
- Ensure Salford facilities are fully licensed for all software and maintain the information in the licensing database.
- Supervise and maintain all security initiatives from corporate IT
- Supervise and maintain an up-to-date Hardware and Software inventory for Salford facilities.
- Continually work with team to look for ways to automate manual processes at Salford facilities and sharing these ideas with your group and Linamar wide.
- Work with the IT manager to interview, hire, and on-board new IT staff.
- Share knowledge and experience with the other facilities in your area. Help with projects and show leadership with peers.
- Supervise, monitor, and audit backup of local systems according to IT Policy and Procedure

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**Education and Experience**
- Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in a related field (i.e., Business Administration, Information Systems, etc.) or an equivalent level of education and experience.
- Minimum 8-years working in enterprise IT.
- Formal experience in leading a cross-functional enterprise IT team, ideally in a supervisory capacity.
- Prior experience managing IT projects using project management methodologies.
- Hands-on experience in the administration of enterprise IT networks & infrastructure is considered an asset.

**Skills and Knowledge**
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to coach and mentor direct reports and build effective teams.
- Quick thinking and decision making - ability to adopt quickly in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong multi-disciplinary knowledge of enterprise IT best practices.
- Strong communication skills - ability to communicate complex technology issues & opportunities to non-technical stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of the following: Active Directory, Veeam, VMWare, Windows Server (2012 R2, 2016, 2019, 2022), DNS, Office365, Server monitoring software, networks and firewalls, VPNs, etc.
- Excellent interpersonal and diplomacy skills.
- Good business acumen and an understanding of how technology brings value to enterprises.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects at the same time.
- Exhibit a “sense of urgency” when resolving critical issues.
- Strong customer service focus.
