**About us**:
Earlybird Childcare Centre by Bredin is a new not-for-profit Centre offering quality early learning and care for children 10 months to 6 years old. Located on the first floor of the CN Tower of Edmonton Alberta, Earlybird Childcare Centre is well-situated for families living and working downtown. The Centre provides children with many opportunities to access the tremendous community resources nearby.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Completed a diploma from a recognized Early Childhood Program or equivalent level of
- training
- Holds Level 1, 2, or 3 Certificate issued by the Alberta Child Care Certification Office
- Clear and Current Criminal Record Check
- Clear and Current Child Welfare Record Check
- Current CPR & First Aid Certificate

**WORK EXPERIENCE**:
A minimum of one year of work experience in the Early Childhood Field is preferred.

- Skilled in proper child guidance strategies
- Committed to providing quality childcare
- Warm, respectful, sympathetic, show initiative, flexibility, and friendly personality
- Capable of establishing and maintaining rapport with the children, staff, families, and the community
- Involved in connecting families to the resources they need
- Skilled in doing observations of all the children in the program
- Ability to write clear and objective developmental observations
- Ability to accept work with the Team of Early Childhood Educators
- Good communication skills
- Ability to give and receive constructive suggestions and criticism.

**CHILD DEVELOPMENT, LEARNING, AND CARE**
- Support the holistic development of children based on the program Philosophy, Mission, and Values
- Facilitate the development and behavior of children
- Develop programming by participating in weekly planning based on the children’s interest
- Implement and evaluate the program
- Support the holistic development of children based on the program philosophy. mission, and vision
- Meets health, welfare, and safety needs of children
- Meets the nutritional needs of children
- Guides children’s behavior
