This is an opportunity for you to become part of a dynamic nutrition team in the city of Medicine Hat. As a casual Dietitian in this community, you would be a frontline professional within Nutrition Services reporting to the Manager, Nutrition Services, South Zone. You will be responsible for assessing, developing, implementing and evaluating nutrition care plans for a variety of patients in various practice areas. You will have an opportunity to gain experience in practice areas such as acute care, cancer, home care, outpatient, diabetes and chronic disease. In this position you will work with multidisciplinary teams in acute care and ambulatory care areas to achieve nutrition and health outcomes using a patient focused approach.

**Description**:
As a Dietitian I, you may provide nutrition expertise to patients (clients, residents) in various AHS facilities and community settings to achieve nutrition and health outcomes. You may be responsible for nutrition assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of nutrition care plans. You may plan and provide public health nutrition services and education programs to promote healthy living and disease prevention for clients/groups in facilities or community settings. Nutrition education is provided to students and other healthcare professionals to support delivery of evidence based nutrition information.

**Required Qualifications**:
Bachelor of Science with a major in Foods and Nutrition. Completion of an internship program or practicum training program accredited by the Dietitians of Canada. Active or eligible for registration with the College of Dietitians of Alberta (CDA).
