As the Manager, Parliamentary Food Services, you will be responsible for the operations and services of the In Camera Dining Room and the Quorum Café as well as managing all adjunct services including catering to ensure high quality food services for Members of Provincial Parliament, staff and visitors to the Legislative Assembly are established and consistently maintained.

**What You’ll Do**:
**You’ll act with integrity to**:

- Ensure high quality standards are consistently maintained with respect to the food service operation including service, food and health and
- Ensure Ontario products are highlighted throughout the operation.
- Define customer service standards and ensure staff compliance to lead the team to deliver service excellence.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to remedy any service delays.
- Create and maintain effective schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels to ensure optimum service delivery and maintenance of budget
- Monitor and analyze operating costs and service metrics, with preparation of monthly projection and inventory reports and makes recommendations to the Director.
- Coordinate with the Executive Chef and Director regarding product ordering and inventory management, dining room service, Quorum Café and catering services for special functions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge on restaurant industry standards and best practices, develop policies and procedures to meet all regulatory requirements and ensures compliance.
- Manage suppliers and vendors, for purchases and equipment.
- Monitor equipment and supplies, implementing routine maintenance schedules to ensure the operation runs efficiently without service interruption and is compliant with health and sanitary regulations.
- Recruit and develop staff, managing performance and ensuring training on all aspects of food services.

**You’ll support our collaboration as you**:

- Coordinate with the Director and Executive Chef to ensure excellent service while providing oversight on menu planning, product ordering and inventory management, dining room service, Quorum Café and catering services for special functions.
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors, source best possible services and products to consistently ensure cost-effective, high-quality results.

**How You Qualify**:
**You demonstrate excellence through your**:

- Experience managing food service operation with staffing, budget and financial management responsibilities.
- FOODSAFE and SMART SERVE certifications.
- First Aid/CPR Certified.
- Ability to provide superior customer service including quality standards and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Knowledgeable about all relevant health and safety legislation and standards, and effective implementation of regulations for the protection of people and property.
- Knowledge of food production processes, quality control and techniques for maximizing quality food preparation and delivery of service.
- Demonstrated ability to:

- lead, make decisions and inspire others towards excellence.
- establish effective staffing plans including recruitment and retention, staff development, mentoring and training.
- adapt or incorporate feedback into quality improvement initiatives.
