Production Coordinator

**Purpose**:
To organize and maintain production orders within a four-week window in order to satisfy customer required ship dates and maintain efficient product flow through all the production departments.
**Reports to**:
VP, Operations
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Maintain and balance the production schedule, four (4) weeks out, using the output numbers set by the Management Team
- Prepare weekly reports and send to dealers
- Chair dealer meetings as required
- Adjust the schedule and follow up on any critical or rush orders to make sure they are completed as per agreement with the customer
- Coordinate with shipping for any large and/or urgent orders
- Follow up on short lead time (SLT), corrective/preventative action (CPA) orders, and short shipments
- Participate in weekly scheduling meetings
- Follow up on outsourced work
- Contribute ideas and strategies to improve the scheduling process participate in the design of a new scheduling system
- Provide back up and support to Shipping Coordinator and Scheduler
- Communicate with both internal and external personnel including Sales, Operations, Purchasing, Engineering, Shipping, Production, Quality, Site Managers and Project Managers
- Perform other duties as required
**Skills & Experience**:
- 3 years of manufacturing experience
- 1 year of scheduling or expediting role
- Experience with production processes
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills
- Lean Manufacturing experience
- Intermediate computer skills including MS Office
- Attention to detail is critical
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively multi-task
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Familiarity with ISO quality standard
