Vaughan, Canada Creating Alternatives Day Program Full time

The Program Supervisor is a member of the Leadership Team and is responsible for the development, implementation and oversight of the programs and services. This role oversees the day-to-day operations within the programs and manages front-line staff. The Program Supervisor supports the on-going development of a culture of safety, excellence in quality care and risk management and works towards establishing a solid team that carry out the Mission of the organization.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

**HIRING & SUPERVISION OF STAFF**
- Coach, support, manage and lead a team of front-line staff
- Establish a unified team with clear goals
- Prepares annual performance evaluations for all team members
- Coordinates staff schedules to meet the needs of the programs
- Oversee students periodically
- Recruit and train staff as required

**PROGRAM MANAGEMENT & PLANNING**
- Maintains regulatory requirements (QAM)
- Undertakes program planning and development activities to support the Strategic Plan
- Supports the development of policies and processes to ensures full compliance with the required standards and in support of Accreditation
- Assumes on-call duties as required
- Executes consistent communication with stakeholders including program participants, families, and volunteers
- Ensures that ISPs are at the forefront of program planning for individuals
- Embeds a safety culture within organization

**ADMINISTRATION**
- Prepares reports on indicators and statistics, maintains documentation and records as required
- Attends professional development opportunities as required
- Participates at external planning tables

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Minimum 5 years working experience with individuals with developmental delays, autism, or with behavioral challenges
- Experience planning programs for vulnerable populations and leading teams
- University Degree in social services or health services
- Valid G class driver’s license
- Current and up-to-date vulnerable sector police check
- Current First Aid and CPR is an asset
- Ability to demonstrate initiative, flexibility, and to multi-task

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$58,000.00 per year

- Vaughan, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
