**Role Summary**:
Working with a cross functional team the Category Manager would be responsible for developing & recommending food strategies for the current and multi-year business plans to the executive team. This individual would be expected to derive insights and determine opportunities to influence future product development, pricing, and marketing communication around menu.

**Key Partnerships**
- Marketing: Insights & Communication team to determine Guest needs, and brand opportunities
- Partner with the Culinary & Beverage Manager on strategies and recommendations
- Work closely with Operations, Culinary and IT and to implement new menu changes.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

Including but not limited to:

- Regularly report on menu performance, from a national and regional perspective
- Manage and lead an annual menu review process
- Co-lead the new product process with the Culinary team
- Jointly develop action plans on key menu categories with a specific innovation pipeline linked to our overall menu & business strategy
- Lead the annual menu pricing process including pricing recommendation on new items
- Work with the research team to conduct quantitative and qualitative research as needed to inform action plans
- Kick-off and lead the new product process
- Engage internal stakeholders as part of the menu development process

**Experience/Skills Required**
- 5+ years experience in marketing and/or food service (preferred)
- Post-secondary education ideally focused on marketing or hospitality
- Must be proficient with Excel and PowerPoint;
- Highly analytical with the ability to turn data into insights and recommendations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to work effectively in a team;
- Proven project management experience managing diverse and complex projects;
- Superior ability to multitask with strong organizational skills.
