**Overview**: As the Dispatch Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing schedules of truck drivers and ensuring goods are transported effectively and in a timely manner. You will be responsible for receiving calls and dispatching drivers to pick up and drop off locations, prioritizing efficient route planning and optimization.

**This position is a 15/6 rotation based out of the Fox Creek area. Transportation and accommodation are provided.**

About Us: Ascent Transport is an Alberta based logistics and oilfield transportation company with an expansive portfolio catering to various sectors including oil & gas, construction, railway, agriculture, forestry, and manufacturing.

Duties: Including but not limited to;
- Receive and prioritize customer orders and requests for transportation services
- Coordinate and schedule shipments with carriers and drivers
- Track and monitor the progress of shipments to ensure on-time delivery
- Communicate with customers, carriers, and drivers to provide updates on shipment status
- Resolve any issues or delays that may arise during transportation process
- Maintain accurate records of all shipments, including documentation and billing information
- Analyze transportation data to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities
- Perform data entry tasks to update timesheets and preparing invoices

Qualifications:

- Previous experience as a dispatcher or in a similar role is preferred
- Proficiency in using transportation management systems (TMS) software
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Familiarity with phone systems and phone etiquette
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes is an asset

Compensation: Commensurate with knowledge and experience.
