IT Coordinator

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Controller, the IT Coordinator represents the best interests of the company in the successful delivery of assigned tasks. The IT Coordinator is responsible for providing hands-on support to end-users and maintaining company networks and software systems, performance tuning and recovery procedures.

**Responsibilities**:

- Setup, install and maintain user accounts, workstations, and network hardware and software.
- Install new software releases, upgrades, and patches.
- Accurately maintain all technical documentation.
- Continuously monitor network and IT systems (servers, network, storage, data centre capacity).
- Perform routine network startup and shutdown procedures, and maintain control records.
- Travel to project sites for support/troubleshooting/setup.
- Perform other duties as may be required from time to time.
- Lead by example.

**Qualifications**:

- Post-Secondary education - relevant certification preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in similar environment; experience in a heavy civil construction environment preferred
- Proficient in MS Office software (Excel, Word and Outlook)
- Working knowledge of MS 365, Sharepoint, VM ware
- Strong administration and organizational skills with an ability to handle confidential materials in a professional manner
- Demonstrates a strong attention to detail and a willingness to work under tight deadlines as required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills including follow-through
- Results oriented with a sense of urgency and high standards for quality production and performance
- Willingness to learn and take on challenges
- Polite, courteous, professional demeanour
- Must possess a valid driver’s licence and have a clean driving record
