About L3HARRIS WESCAM

As a subsidiary of L3Harris Technologies and within the Integrated Mission Systems Segment, the WESCAM division develops the most advanced optical sensor and targeting systems for global defense and military sectors, National Security, Search & Rescue and Airborne law enforcement agencies. From long-range covert surveillance missions to search and rescue operations, our MX-series systems, and the mission systems solutions they are a part of, produce stabilized high-magnification electro1-optical and infrared images from airborne, marine and ground based platforms, enabling our customers to see first and act first.

Primary Responsibilities
- Assemble, test, adjust and troubleshoot Optical, Electronic and Electrical/Mechanical assemblies
- Repair or rework existing assemblies
- Work with Engineering on development of new products/procedures
- Maintain test data, complete NCRs (Non-Conformance reports), analyze and advise on corrective actions
- Assist in investigating, developing and implementing new test instructions

Required Capabilities
- Experience in the field of assembly and troubleshooting Optical, Electronic and Mechanical devices
- Thorough understanding of techniques in the use of hand tools, soldering, crimping and optical bench practices
- Ability to use a variety of electronics and optical measuring devices
- Thorough understanding of video and light transmission (Photonics)

Desired Education and Experiences
- 2 - 5 years previous related work experience in the Electro-Optical field/ Electronics field
- Electronics, Robotics or Optronics/Photonics College Diploma
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing an asset
