**Position Summary**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Oversee the coordination and scheduling of outbound freight, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products across the BC and US West Coast regions.
- Manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers to negotiate rates, secure capacity, and resolve any transportation issues.
- Monitor and track shipments, providing real-time updates to stakeholders and proactively addressing any delays or disruptions.
- Ensures that all orders are shipped in full with mínimal backorders.
- Ensures that all information required for month-end is processed in a timely manner.
- Obtaining and calculating quotes/rates for shipments.
- Developing weekly shipping schedules and distributing to all relatable personnel.
- Reviewing shipping back logs regularly.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding shipment status, delivery schedules, and any logístical concerns.
- Address customer inquiries and issues promptly, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of outbound freight operations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact logistics operations.
- Accrual and approval of invoices for payment.
- Training of all new employees within the shipping department.
- Other duties and tasks as required and assigned.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Strong knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS) and logistics software.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with carriers and customers.
- Experience with forklift operation is preferred.
- Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Strong attention to detail in pricing and packaging.
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes.
- Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., CLTD, APICS, CITT) is a plus.
- SAP experience would be a definite asset
- Experience working with MS Office Suite & Windows; specifically, Outlook, Excel, and Word.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
