**Job Responsibilities will include, but not limited to**:

- Coordinating and executing various geotechnical exploration assignments;
- Provide technical services in a field, laboratory, and office environment;
- Carry out various geotechnical field review assignments on construction projects;
- Conduct on site testing of various materials on construction sites, compaction testing and testing of concrete and asphalt;
- Carry out Laboratory testing of construction materials to applicable standards;
- Accountability for quality of product including reporting and construction reviews; and,
- Communicating with clients and sub-consultants and other stake holders as required.

**Job Requirements**:

- Geotechnical or Civil Engineering Technician/Technology Diploma from a recognized Technology program;
- Must have a reliable vehicle in good working condition, properly insured for business use, and a valid driver’s license (mileage allowance will be provided);
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills;
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills and strong leadership qualities;
- Must have an ability to lift and control weights up to 22 kgs/50 lbs.;
- Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be available for shift work (day/night/weekends).
- Willing to work extended and irregular hours when necessary;
- Must be available to travel and work away from the main office/laboratory of extended periods.
- Must be available to work outdoors and in all weather conditions, when safe to do so.
Hourly wages will be commensurate to experience. This position is also eligible to participate in Kontur’s Group Benefits, performance incentives, and Continued Professional Development plans/policies. Phone and Vehicle allowances will be provided.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.50-$31.25 per hour
