- We are seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team in Canada as part of the global Payroll team. As the person “on the ground”, you will administer everything related to payroll and benefits for our bi-weekly payroll in North America.

**What does this role involve?**

You are the frontline for any payroll queries in North America. We are a growing team, with a steady stream of new hires that need to be set up and onboarded. You will be responsible for making sure this transition is seamless, in partnership with providers and the HR team, for a great employee experience.

Reporting to the global Payroll Manager and located in downtown Vancouver, you can expect to:

- Administer payroll for 100+ employees (and growing) in Canada, including manual calculations in Excel
- Partner with ADP to deliver bi-weekly payroll on time and accurately
- Support onboarding of new employees for Canada, processing new hires in various platforms and setting up with benefits providers
- Be the first point of contact for all payroll and benefits queries in our North American region
- Assist in the preparation of insurance claim forms
- Maintain accurate personnel files
- Participate in projects, audits and other non-standard work
- Perform general ledger reconciliations of payroll clearing accounts as required

**What are we looking for?**
- You are an experienced Payroll Administrator, with an understanding of variable rostering and manual calculations. Excel is your friend and you approach with no fear.
- You are an organiser. You can manage the breadth of your responsibilities and deliver an accurate payroll, on time.
- You are all about the details. You pride yourself on getting it right and putting the checks and balances in place to prevent errors.
- You are a relationship builder. You can build positive relationships with your key stakeholders, both internal and external (e.g. ADP, Canada Life) to ensure a seamless payroll
- The ability to flex working hours to ensure a suitable crossover with the head office payroll team in Brisbane, Australia would be ideal.
