PRODUCTION / ASSEMBLER POSITIONS:
We are looking to add a Full-time Production / Assembler employee to our Fabrication Team. Come work with us

Okaped is a locally owned and growing company with 5 locations throughout the Okanagan Valley, just recently celebrating 26 years in business. We service the medical community with biomechanical services including orthopaedic braces, custom foot orthotics and shoe modifications. We are looking for any type of job experience that requires strong attention to detail and a hand eye dexterity to be a fabricator / assembler. We are looking to hire ASAP. We offer a stable, competitive job and provide the hands-on job training - to ensure your success as part of our Okaped team

You will be responsible for the building of our products in the Kelowna fabrication lab. This includes making products from custom forms. Under the supervision of Certified Pedorthists, the position involves standing and working with plastic and foam materials with grinding, sanding and cutting machinery. A background of fabrication and manufacturing with metal and/or wood in a custom environment would be an asset. Work is performed at individual workstations where hand eye coordination and dexterity are essential. Being able to follow detailed instructions, attention to detail and meeting scheduled time lines is a requirement.

Employees must safely use and operate various hand tools and we provide all the essential training and support. The working environment is indoors, comfortable temperature controlled, clean and organized.

This is a Full-Time job that is an 8-hour shift / 40 hrs per week. Hours of work are: Mon to Fri, working 8:30 am to 5 pm. Some flexibility with these hours is okay.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Complete manufacturing of custom orthotics and shoe modifications.
- Organization of materials and supplies.
- Basic maintenance and cleaning of lab equipment and work area.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- A strong work ethic and an interpersonal team-player.
- A pride of workmanship with attention to detail.
- Good communication.
- Hand-eye dexterity and ability to operate small hand tools, sanders, and bandsaw.
- Ability to follow instructions for assembly.
- Ability to stand for periods of time at various work stations.

**Salary**: From $19.00 per hour
