We are recruiting for Rescue Technicians in British Columbia and Alberta to support First Response Inc., a Canadian business unit under Ambipar Response. We are looking for new employees with great attitudes, aptitude, punctuality, and professional conduct to be part of our growing company. **If you are based outside of Alberta or BC, this role will be fly in/fly out to camp.**
**WHAT YOUR DAYS WILL CONSIST OF**:
- Respond to emergency situations to protect people, the environment, and property from all types of accidents and emergencies
- Inspect and monitor confined spaces, work at heights as required and ensure rescue and fire equipment is inspected and maintained
- Work within a team environment to complete truck and equipment checks
- Provide emergency medical care and other related services at the scene of an emergency, accident, disaster, or mass casualty incident
- Transport patients to safety during an emergency
- Use proper first aid techniques and equipment in emergency situations
- Attend and be active in worksite meetings
- Complete hazard assessments and rescue plans
- Train within your crew
**REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS**:
- OFA1 with Transport Endorsement (OFA3 preferred)
**REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS - PROVIDED BY AMBIPAR**:
- Confined space rescue technician certification
- Rope rescue operations certification
- ICS 100
**ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Physically fit and capable of performing a rescue
- Valid class 5 drivers license with 6 or less points
- Enthusiastic and team-oriented

- Industrial experience will be considered an asset but not essential

**Salary**: $30.00-$40.00 per hour

Supplemental pay types:

**Education**:
- Secondary School (preferred)
**Experience**:
- rescue: 1 year (preferred)
