Customer Service & Billing Agent

YYC Freight Services is a well-established Calgary based company offering warehousing, ground handling and transportation services to the freight forwarding community, direct shippers, and the aviation industry. Located at the Calgary International Airport with direct access to tarmac (air side), we are perfectly situated to service our customers on and off the airport.

We are currently looking for a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as a Customer Service & Billing Agent. We are currently looking to fill one full-time role and the shift would be from Monday to Friday. The shift will be 7:00 to 16:00 or 8:30 to 17:30, depending on operational requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Helping to assist imports and dispatch staff with daily workflow
- Accepting cargo as it arrives at our warehouse and completing proper acceptance procedures as required. Releasing cargo to customers and drivers when they come to pick up, ensuring all procedural requirements have been met.
- Notifying customers when their cargo is on hand and assisting with any customer dialogue, responding quickly to requests and inquiries in a friendly manner and ensuring appropriate action is taken. Continually following up to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Responsible for assisting the imports and dispatch teams with their billing. Data entry and processing, checking, verifying invoices, expense records, day files and supporting documents in a timely and accurate manner
- Ensure that all procedures and instructions are followed, and that the expected service is delivered in accordance with customer expectations and/or contracted terms.
- Complying with all applicable air cargo security, Transport Canada, and CBSA regulations
- Strong and effective communication with all other departments
- Perform any other office or administrative duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous knowledge involving air cargo, transportation, or logistics is an asset.
- Previous billing or accounting experience is an asset
- Must be a dynamic, self-motivated, and enthusiastic individual who thrives under pressure and is able to perform multiple functions and prioritize tasks accordingly
- Must be able to pick up new concepts and learn new systems quickly
- Must have a high level of accuracy and be reliable, punctual, self-motivated and capable of working with mínimal supervision/direction
- Must be able to pass a security clearance (background check)
- Refined verbal and written communication skills and excellent knowledge of English
- Must have previous customer service experience
- Must be able to adapt and work in a diverse culture and environment

COMPENSATION
- Wage is negotiable based on experience and qualifications
- Comprehensive benefits package available upon completion of 3-month probationary period
- We are looking to fill this full-time permanent position by the end of June.
