The Waterloo Catholic District School Board serves over 38,000 learners and provides services to students in 50 schools (Kindergarten to Grade 12 and adult learners) across the Waterloo Region.

**General Description of Duties**:

- Collaborate with other team members to program and organize diverse activities conducive to creativity, inclusion, and growth.
- Mentor, guide, and encourage youth in activities, relationships, and personal goals to support growth and leadership development
- Identify and raise issues or concerns regarding participants, the promotion of growth, inclusion, and diversity
- Establish and maintain positive rapport with students, staff, and parents to ensure structure, organization, and cohesion
- Actively participate and engage in program and activities delivered on and off site
- Ability to work under pressure with changing priorities and to meet deadlines
- Assuming leadership and taking initiative to ensure effectiveness and success of program
- Consistent welcoming, energetic, and passionate demeanor
- Generate and maintain camper enthusiasm for school, activities, and other special events
- Debriefing with Program Coordinator’s weekly to review and assess the effectiveness of the program
- Work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

**M**inimum Requirements**:

- 18 years of age or older
- Canadian citizen or have a valid work permit
- A Vulnerable Sector Background Check issued no later than three (3) months prior to start date

**Desirable Assets**:

- Enthusiasm for working with youth of all ages
- Leadership experience that ensures program quality and the delivery of excellent service
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passionate, dedicated, and determined
- Proactive, reliable, and safety conscious
- Second language is an asset (please indicate on resume).
- National Lifeguarding Certificate
- Standard First Aid and CPR certification is an asset.
- Valid Ontario Drivers License

**Hourly Rate**:
$21.00 per hour

**Hours of Work**:
This is a casual supply role assisting with the below programs:

- Fall Homestay Program - September to March, hours will vary
- Long-term Program - Year round, hours will vary
- Unity Leadership Camp - May, 44 hours a session
- Spring Residence Program - May 2nd to June 5th, 40 to 44 hours a week.
- STEM Camp Program Support - June 28th to August 3rd, 40 to 44 hours a week

Various locations throughout Waterloo Region.
